Being fairly used to Fallout 1 and 2, working an old turn-based 2D interface was not a big obstacle, and so I quickly learned how rich the tactical combat is in this game.
Jagged Alliance 2 is probably one of the best games ever made. Back in 1998-1999 my life was dominated by Half-Life and other shooters rapidly becoming more sophisticated, but this is a true gem. When I actually started playing the full game (1.12) I was blown away with the depth and production value that went into such an old game. This thread made me decide to give the demo a chance and it only took me 2 minutes to realise I must have this game.
I've also eyed it up on GOG for a long time, even wishlisted it but never comitted to buying it. I've actually known about it since it was released, but I never played it despite being curious about it. I want to thank Nimsky for providing the final bit of inspiration I needed to check this game out.
